When your proofreading/editing job is complete, you'll receive two copies of your document from me. One of these will be marked up using track changes or annotations (depending on whether the document format is MS Word or Adobe PDF).* The other will be clean text, with my corrections and suggested changes incorporated.
These allow you to see exactly where changes have been made, and how your project will look/read if the indicated revisions are included. However, this doesn't mean that you have to accept them all.
All texts below are samples written by myself.
*If your document needs to be marked up on paper, I will use the British Standards Institution (BSI) proof-correction marks. This is a set of symbols specifically designed for proofreading and editing which is recognised throughout the UK; and, increasingly, worldwide.
